Today In Fireworks: The Last Shadow Puppets – Standing Next to Me (Paris, Feb 3rd 2012)

Yes, everyone’s favourite northern duo of revivalist guitar-pop are back, if just for one night in Paris. Miles Kane and Alex Turner last night revisited the Last Shadow Puppets material. With rumour circulating of future recordings in the summer, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Streaming their 100th show of their current tour, Arctic Monkeys support Miles Kane introduced “his brother” Alex Turner to the stage and they played “Standing Next to Me”, “My Mistakes Were Made For You” and “Little Illusion Machine” from their debut and eponymous album. It’s not the first time the duo have shared a stage of late, playing together on a number of occasions in the last few months, but this show was streamed for a few reasons, and I for one think that the Last Shadow Puppets were one of those reasons.
Enough from me, enjoy.

Take care of each other
