Christmas in Fireworks #2: Slow Club, Frank Turner and Dukes of Bevington

Twas the nizzle before Christmizzle…
For people who don’t speak Snoop, that’s “Twas the night before Christmas” and today, as Christmas eve, you get three more festive delights.

The first comes in the form of Slow Club‘s BBC R5 session in which they played the beautiful Christmas TV as well as Gold Mountain. If you don’t think Christmas Tv is a bone-fide festive feast for the ears and emotions, Santa won’t be nice to you.

Next up is Frank Turner’s (debateable) rendition of Last Christmas. The Wham! classic’s been thrown around like, well, the man that wrote it (I’m not even sorry) and it’s now found a momentary solice in Frank’s last chorus with the Sleeping Souls and the ever lovely backing vocals of Mr. Ben Marwood. This track’s on his new album, the second three years. Don’t buy it.

Now for your final audible treat, something completely different. Up and coming band Dukes Of Bevington have recorded a really unique version of Silent Night. It’s brave and I kind of like that, the video has pretty colours too. I’m a sucker for those. Anyway, in the festive mood, enjoy it and check them out here.

Happy Holidays, or whatever I’m meant to say everyone
Take care of each other
