You Need: Frank Turner – England Keep My Bones

Going to try bring a post like this to you once a week, about an upcoming album I’m getting excited about.
This week is the first of its kind and comes from probably my favourite solo artist, Frank Turner.

If you don’t know him, Frank Turner is the epitomy of modern folk-punk. His solo career has seen him travel the globe countless times and release a series of fantastic albums. In my opinion, Love, Ire and Song is his best album and sits proudly in the favourites section of my record collection. Frank could be the voice of a generation, had the last few generations not spent their time listening to the latest in the media shit storm of Britney Spears and JLS. Whilst his music may sound similar across everything he does, it’s the simplicity in his music and perfect relevance in lyrics that has built him a growing and dedicated fanbase across the world.

A recent series of intimate, secret shows allowed him to preview a selection of the tracks from his new album, England Keep my Bones which is released on June 6th. Whilst live recordings are good for learning about new material, you simply can’t beat a studio recording for a record preview, and so, just this afternoon, Frank Turner whacked the following video for his song, I Am Disappeared online. “I keep having dreams of pioneers and pirate ships and Bob Dylan” it begins.  Listen yourself below EDIT: Or download from here!
