Sorry I’ve been quiet of late. I’ve been trying to get myself into other blogs and publications, with mixed results, but you’ll hear about that at some other point. Right now though, I’ve got the imponderable joy of telling you about a new group!
Young the Giant are one of my favourite bands currently bursting out of the Californian sun scene. With their mix of the kind of sound you’d expect to hear on a happier episode of The OC and a side of rock and roll hidden behind this, the quartet have added an upbeat ethnic edge to their music to form an album of great tracks.
The album was released in the USA in October and the guys are heading out to London for a week or so to release it over here. You can hear the album in full at PureVolume.com/YoungTheGiant or alternatively, get a free download of their track, Strings below.
